Happy New Year!

As I look back on 2025, I’m proud of what Lane Electric Cooperative accomplished, but I’m even more excited about what lies ahead.

First off, you’ll be hearing from us later this month with an update on our territory realignment study with the Eugene Water and Electric Board. If approved by the board, it will bring 3,200 new members to the cooperative and extend our McKenzie territory from Belknap Springs to Thurston Road. This is an excellent opportunity to unite the McKenzie and build resilience for all who call the river valley home.

Elsewhere, we have more than $3,300,000 in site-specific capital projects planned to continue our work around increasing reliability and resilience, as well as improving system technologies. This will help us continue safe delivery of power to all members.

To improve member services, we’ll also debut a new website and online tools in the next month. Additionally, we will retire Ruralite magazine in favor of new communication tools.

I’m confident these investments will provide improved service for all our member-owners.

Stay tuned for an exciting year.
