Manager’s Message – December 2024

Dear Co-op Members,

It’s hard to believe this is the last issue of 2024.

I hope you read last month’s exciting news that we are working on an important upgrade to our metering system. This project will improve and streamline our operation, setting the stage for future advances and ensuring reliable electric service for future generations.

This caps off a year of positive momentum for the cooperative. The year started with a devastating ice storm, requiring significant repairs, grant support, and time from everyone on staff. In 2024, our crews strung insulated cable to mitigate wildfires in a high-risk section of line on Bennett Creek Road and expect to complete an undergrounding project on South Willamette in Eugene before the end of the year. These are just a few of the projects the Lane Electric team has worked hard on this year.

I hope to see you for our town hall meetings in January and February where I will share more about what Lane Electric will be working on in 2025.
