December 2025 Rate Increase

Dear Members:

To keep up with the rising costs of purchased power from the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), Lane Electric will implement a 7% increase in the kilowatt-hour (kWh) charge, effective December 1.

This is a direct response to BPA’s October 1 increase, which saw transmission rates increase by 19.9% and generation by 8.8%. With the Pacific Northwest receiving more than 1/3 of our power from BPA, this increase is a necessary reality of power delivery.

We are also simplifying our rate structure by eliminating seasonal rates and increased charges for usage above 1,500 kWh.

We understand the economic challenges our members face, and we will continue to control our fixed costs by operating safely and efficiently to provide reliable electrical service.

Additional details regarding rates are available on our Rates webpage. You can also call our office with any questions at (541) 484-1151 or email us.

Thank you for your membership with Lane Electric Cooperative, and we appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

Scott Coe
