DETERMINATION OF BILLING DEMAND

The billing demand shall be the average KW load during the 30-minute period in which the consumption of energy is the greatest during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter at the point of delivery, and, where applicable, adjusted for power factor.

POWER FACTOR

The consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable. The measured demand, before adjustment for power factor, will be increased one percent (1%) for each one percent (1%) or major fraction thereof by which the average power factor is less than 97 percent lagging. Unless specifically otherwise agreed, Lane Electric shall not be obligated to deliver power to the purchaser at any time at a power factor below 75 percent. The formula for determining average power factor is as follows:

SERVICE AT PRIMARY VOLTAGE

If service is furnished at primary voltage, a discount of seven percent (7%) shall apply to demand and energy charges.

TERMS OF PAYMENT

The above charges are net and are due when bill is mailed. Service under this schedule is subject to the policies and procedures adopted by Lane Electric's board of directors.
