      Oakridge High School, Oregon State University, correspondence courses in utility accounting. All classes required for the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Credentialed Director and Board Leadership certificates, 18 years at Nushagak Electric and Telephone Cooperatives in Dillingham, Alaska; retired as office manager in 1988.

      I’ve completed all of the required education and have been certified as a Credentialed Cooperative Director through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). In addition, my continuing education, attendance at conferences, and participation on a variety of industry related committees has helped prepare me for the challenges facing our Co-op.

      Retired after a 36 year career with Breeden Homes. During my career, I served as Vice-President and supervised the Design and Estimating Department and was responsible for preparation of plans for lenders, clients and construction and for obtaining all permits.

      I received a degree from the University of Oregon School of Architecture & Allied Arts.

      I coached Kids Sports basketball for four years and refereed for three years. Before becoming a board member in 2004, I served on committees with the Eugene Permit and Information Center on permit operations and helped streamline the permit review process. I also served as a volunteer for the Churchill High School ski team for two years.

      I have been a member of Lane Electric for over 20 years and have served on various committees, some of which include the Member Candidate Nominating Committee, Billing Statement Review Committee, Ballot Counting Committee, and Referee for Elections & Credentials Committee and the Annual Meeting Committee.

      I have completed all courses for my Director’s Certificate, Board Leadership Certificate and Credentialed Cooperative Director Certificate, from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

      Board of Directors at Lane Electric Cooperative since 1976, Emerald Empire Kiwanis for 30 years, Telephone Pioneers, Campbell Center Men’s Club, Food for Lane County, Ida Patterson Soup Kitchen, Reading is Fundamental for children and the Special Olympics.

      High school graduate. Officer Candidate Leadership School, numerous public power courses through the NRECA. Certified as Rural Electric Board Member.

      Served on two school boards, a church board and many school and church committees. Past member of the Cottage Grove Downtown Association and I now represent Lane Electric at the Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce. I am a life member V.F.W., have been a board member for Lane Electric since 1977, serving as president for 17 years, and owned a business for 14 years.
